We are pleased that your film is accepted for the Solothurn Film Festival 2010. We can get you an ISAN through an easy process: Send a short e-mail to ISAN Berne and we will send you back the ISAN in early December. This ISAN will be published in the catalogue of the Solothurn Film Festival.



You can get your ISAN early in your movie project 13.02.2009

The ISAN identifies an audiovisual work unequivocally and worldwide. It makes sense to get the ISAN for this work early in production. You can use this ISAN-in-dev from the start of your production, you can add more information about this work into the ISAN system as you wish. In the phase of post-production you can then activate the ISAN-in-dev and make it public.

The 60th international film festival Locarno 30.07.2007

The 60th international film festival Locarno will take place from first to 11th of August. You can meet us there at the SUISSIMAGE/SSA booth in the Palazzo Sopracenerina.



ISAN is mandatory for HD DVD and Blu-ray 13.06.2007

ISAN is mandatory for the successors of the DVD: Both the Blu-ray Disc and the HD DVD are protected by the digital rights management system AACS. AACS requires an ISAN.



The tariffication for 2007 19.01.2007

The International Agency of ISAN (ISAN-IA) has released the tariffication for 2007: ISAN Berne now offers two prices according to the age of the work:
for an audiovisual work with year of reference 2005 or newer: 30 CHF, for an audiovisual work with year of reference 2004 or older: 10 CHF.
For an already defined ISAN you can add versions to an audiovisual work:
for an audiovisual work with year of reference 2005 or newer: 4 CHF, for an audiovisual work with year of reference 2004 or older: 3 CHF.
The new prices will be valid from 1st March 2007.

The first work from Austria is registered: The documentary «MUD - The creation of traditional Navajo Pottery» has just received an ISAN.



Introductory rates valid until February 2007 15.9.2006

Windows Media Encoder Studio Edition Beta 1 with ISAN support 13.7.2006

Microsoft has released a new beta version of its tool for video professionals. One of the new features is the integration of ISAN metadata into the video content.



ISAN integrated into the credits 7.7.2006

Hugofilm has put the ISAN into the credits of Vitus and Vitusmacher.



ISAN already made it on more than 20 DVD cases 7.7.2006

Hugofilm, Praesens Film and Mano Film have printed an ISAN on the DVD cases of the movies Jo Siffert, Der Erfinder, Oberstadtgass, WhoAfraidWolf, Snow White, Die missbrauchten Liebesbriefe and Techqua Ikachi.

The International Agency of ISAN (ISAN-IA) has released the tariffication for 2006: - There are three prices according to the age of the work, - Versions will be introduced (same work in various languages, cuts for different markets), - the tariffication is standardised for all registration agencies.

ISAN Berne is growing: over 3 000 works are now registered through us.

ISAN Berne has started 8.2.2005

The establishing of the agency ISAN Berne has started! The registered producers can check the information relative to addresses and contracts and ... correct it. For the time being they cannot query the documentation of their repertoire in the ISAN system.
